memorials scoccer scholarship

The Brian S. Letendre Memorial Scholarship has been established to continue the memory of Brian Letendre, a Marine Captain and 1996 graduate of Potomac Senior High School. On May 3, 2006, Brian was killed while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was a selfless individual and a man of great character. While at Potomac, he was captain of the varsity soccer team and also participated in cross country, swim team and Jr. Civitans. He was elected "Best Personality" by his senior class and is remembered by all who knew him as a genuine and caring person. It is our hope that this scholarship will help Potomac students to remember Brian's sacrifice and gain respect for the men and women of our armed forces.

The Brian Letendre Memorial Scholarship is open to any Potomac Senior High School college-bound senior athlete who has displayed good character, integrity, and strong leadership qualities.
